During the last decades of the 20th century and early 'yea.rs of the
21st century, the world has witnessed. a new era of economic, cultural, social, political and ethnic interactions as a result of the introduction
of new technologies in communication, grow of multinational
companies, and collapse of the former Soviet bloc. These
developments bring about a lot of changes worldwide specially in
respect of national and ethnic identities. In this article the concept of
globalization will be first defined and its elements will be examined.
Then, the impact of globalization on national and ethnic identities will
be discussed
