Human cloning and the possibility of reproducing a human being without fertilizing the egg with the sperm is one of the new questions in Fiqh which need more discussions.
The permissibility or the prohibition of reproductive cloning, parentage of the clone, the rules of the Shari'ah regarding marriage, inheritance and the custody of the clones, along with the study of the reasons of the rules are the main concerns of this work.
Unlike the Sunnis, most of the Shi'i jurists believe that human reproductive cloning is permissible, although its wide application is forbidden because of some harmful effects.
Various cases are imaginable for human cloning and by considering the effective factors in ancestry, it may result in different relationships. Family law, the right of inheritance and the custody of the clones are subject to the parentage establishment. Even if the relationship couldn't be proved, a precaution, specifically in marriage, is preferred
